EASTER FOR A TROUBLED WORLD -ISLAM VS. EASTER is not your normal Easter/Resurrection Day celebratory message. It is darkest just before the dawn of a new day, and this message starts out with a dark warning of global Islamic Jihad before it turns the corner to find the Lord Jesus Christ resurrected and victorious as our conquering King of kings. Romans 8 was written to the Church in Rome during the first century. The Church was hated and severely persecuted by both the theocracy of Rome and the corrupted theocracy of Israel, and their certain hope of resurrection through faith in our resurrected Lord was their abiding hope. Today, the theocracy of Islam is on the march in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and yes right here in America. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, binding up men and women under Sharia law and the violent commands of the bloody false prophet Muhammad. It poses a real threat to the Church of Jesus Christ and all who will not submit to the false and violent god Allah, and yet we have the same certain hope that sustained the Church of Rome in the first century. Jesus Christ is the risen Savior!
Rom. 8:31-37 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?… Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long… Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
