In this sermon we have the first two evidences of authentic confession or real salvation. The first evidence is the EVIDENT LOVE OF GOD. As seen in 1 John 5:3 and John 14:15, an authentic confession of Christ as Lord comes intact with a genuine and ever growing love of God evidenced in action and truth! The second evidence of a genuine confession is the EVIDENT LOVE OF THE WORD. You cannot know God and thereby love Him except that you know Him through the Scriptures, for it is through the holy Bible that our holy God is revealed. Thus to love God is to love the book that reveals Him and His will for us. Ignorance of the Bible is ignorance of God.
